Hello and welcome! Pull up a chair and stay awhile. I'm Cinnamon Anderson, a children’s book author and community volunteer based right here in the St. Louis area.

Writing Mama Mae's Bakery—a picture book inspired by my late mother—began as a deeply personal way to honor her legacy, our family baking traditions, and the lessons she taught me about grace and resilience. Through this story, I hope to offer young readers and their families a comforting space to explore big emotions, memory, and the enduring power of love.

When I’m not writing or sharing stories during local author storytimes, you will often find me partnering with schools and organizations to spark a lifelong joy of reading in children, alongside volunteering my time to support kids through grief and help them find a safe space to be seen and heard.

Away from the page, my heart lives at home with my husband, our three children, and our two fur babies. You can also regularly find me tending to my massive, beautiful elephant ears—grown from bulbs lovingly passed down through generations from my grandmother and mother.
